The first installment of scream hit the big screen in 1996 and has since become a classic horror slasher. His legacy has been respected and honored in various titles over the years. In fact, Netflix’s Street of Terror includes a reference to this iconic feature film.

Thanks to the fact that its history remains present in the memory of millions of people, a fifth installment of the franchise was announced some time ago. Now, the co-director of the tape,Matt Bettinelli-Olpinconfirmed, through a post on his official Twitter account, that Scream 5 is now complete.
To celebrate the news, the announcement was accompanied by a photograph of the team in what appears to be the post-production room, where they would be putting the finishing touches on the final cut. In addition, it is indicated that his Arrival to the big screen is scheduled to occur sometime in 2022.

The post was shared with the hashtag #ForWes, a nod to Wes Craven, who was responsible for the original launch of the franchise and who directed the three additional sequels. Unfortunately, the filmmaker passed away in 2015. However, his film career includes another great saga: Nightmare on Elm Street.
As for the members of the cast, the specialized portal Collider has detailed that Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette will reprise their roles from the 1996 film. However, the argument will be a little different.
According to what is reported by the aforementioned media, the plot of this continuation will present a young woman on her return to her hometown, after a suspicious string of murders begins to threaten the apparently quiet suburb in which she lives.
Likewise, it has emerged that the new cast of Scream includes Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sonia Ben Ammar, Mikey Madison, Mason Gooding and Kyle Gallner.
