THEFT Thieves fled with 18 endoscopes

The Melun hospital (Seine-et-Marne) has recently been targeted by thieves who stole 18 endoscopes. The damage was estimated to €400,000; reports The Republic of Seine-et-Marne. It’s a caregiver who gave the alert when taking his service, on Monday, November 7th around 8 a.m. The criminals forced four doors to seize medical equipment before fleeing.
The operating room unusable for several days
The hospital was able to count on other establishments in the sector to urgently recover endoscopes. Manufacturers then loaned them out. seven the following Thursday. “The facts that have been committed are very serious and could have endangered people, especially those at risk of gastrointestinal bleeding” ; lamented; the director of the hospital, Dominique Peljak, with the local newspaper.
