The documentary (almost) drama about harassment in the American television channel Fox News.
“Sensation” – not quite a documentary, because some events are changed for the more dramatic, and among the real actors meet fictional. As, for example, the character Margot Robbie. The creators warn about changing some of the details from the first frame, but it doesn’t change the fact that the basis of real events.

The viewer is transferred to the events of 2016, the year when the Creator of the rating of the American TV channel Roger Isles faces accusations of sexual harassment. The theme is not new, though relatively fresh. For the last 4 year the Isles managed to be an assistant of Donald trump in the election race, to die in 2017 and become the hero (not always positive) of a number of films and TV series with Russell Crowe in the title role.
So, the story of the Isles fairly well-known to the American audience, but too far for Ukrainian. Therefore, the untrained person to watch “Sensation” can be difficult: the filmmakers poured a lot of characters from Fox News, whose names mean nothing, and often cry to the dispute over the political views of a purely American context.

That may be interested in “Sensation” – note #MeToo and recognizable actress. Although, relatively recognizable, too, is debatable. For example, Charlize Theron put on makeup so that you will know only relatives, loyal fans, and those who read the poster with her name on it. With Kidman and Lithgow a similar situation. In fact, for makeup “Sensation” even won an Oscar. But, unfortunately, it is not enough to call the film successful.
The desire of Director Jay roach’s place in the film as much detail as you though and understandable, and prevents to follow the plot. Moreover, the conflict depicted is too axiomatic to qualify for a stated dramatic effect, which promise at first.

Margot Robbie and her character, which is called the “modular way”, hinting at emotional taskbar and the scene with the raising of the skirt, without a doubt, strong. But this scene is the strongest in the film by voltage level. In most, the viewer sees what can be dry to read on Wikipedia or in any lorrd devoted to the subject of the scandal on Fox News. And there are many.
So, in the end, have enough emotional movie about women who are afraid to put an end to his career, but I can’t keep silent any longer. With a character from real life, embodying the concept of abuse of power and the American political background. The theme is, without a doubt, important and visible background traffic #MeToo, but the story is filed is not the best way.
