It’s almost time to facelift for Skoda Scala. Although the current version of the model was only unveiled two years ago, the Bohemian carmaker was surprised to test its sedan in a revamped guise, a symptom of a slight restyling on the doorstep. Clearly, the updated version of Skoda Scala will be built on the basis of an elongated variant of the MQB A0 platform, which the Volkswagen Group also uses for the latest Skoda Fabia, Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza.
According to the latest rumors reported by Carscoops, the updated Skoda Scala is expected to feature a redesigned front bumper, with slightly modified air intakes. It will also be renewed the graphics of the headlights, while at the rear no particular improvements seem to be planned. Inside the car, the great spaciousness that also characterizes the current version of the Scala will be confirmed. Technologically speaking, the passenger compartment will be embellished with a 10.25 “digital instrument panel and a touchscreen display dedicated to the 9.2” infotainment system. Final comment on the engine range, which should be confirmed in toto: therefore available both the 1.0 TSI three-cylinder petrol engine and the 1.5 TSI four-cylinder engine, as well as the 1.0 TGI methane. Some minor improvements are planned that will make these engines cleaner. The Skoda Scala facelift debut is expected in 2022.
