“Small Club” ignites the war between Everton fans and Benitez!

When the Spaniard Rafael Benitez was technical director of the Liverpool team, Everton, who is in the same city, between him and the “Reds”, described what could be called “what made mourning” a “small club”, after a match in the “Merseyside Derby” between Liverpool And Everton in 2007, and it ended in a draw, and the Toffees fans did not forget this sentence made by Benitez, when he recently took over the technical leadership of Everton, succeeding Italian Carlo Ancelotti, who left for Real Madrid.
Benitez became uncomfortable, but he defended himself, saying: “These are very old statements and have no bearing on my new job, I am now the Everton manager, and despite his response, it was only natural that the phrase ‘small club’ resurfaced.”

Benitez added, addressing his words to the fans, saying: Yes, I said that in the past, but it depends on the circumstance in which it was said, and you are fighting for your club, and this is what I will do with you now. Any circumstance and against anyone, in which case I will fight for Everton, give everything in every game, and try to compete for every trophy.
Benitez admitted that he is really happy that this club has grown and is able to challenge other clubs and compete for titles, indicating that he will fight for it in turn.
Quite a few Everton fans had demonstrated and protested against this Spanish coach, from the moment he officially announced his arrival to coach the team.

Some fans left a large banner next to Benitez’s house warning him not to accept the assignment, but city police are currently investigating the incident.
At the same time, Benitez has the support of many Everton fans, as well as fans of Liverpool, his old club, and they admitted that this is an irreplaceable opportunity for a great coach to return to the English Premier League, “Premier League”, and strive to achieve something.

Benitez responded to this by saying: We must always look at the positive points and the way in which many people have encouraged me, and I am happy with that.
Benitez concluded his speech, which was published by the global website Goal in its French version, by saying: I was completely convinced when I took this step, and decided to accept the task of coaching Everton, as I am convinced because I spoke now, I want to win my team, and advance it more, this is the biggest challenge for me. It matches my ambition, professionalism and competitiveness.
