If for Johnny Stecchino the problem in Palermo was traffic, from the Fifa report on the last decade of transfers it is clear that the real trouble in football are the commissions of the agents: 3.5 billion dollars spent by the clubs between 2011 and 2020 to insure players. A “problem” that, in proportion to the value of the transfer market, in Italy becomes a disaster: 762 million dollars spent by our clubs against 5.6 billion in purchases and 4.2 in disposals. Just to say: Spain – 6.7 in purchases and 6.2 in sales – paid only 264 million to the prosecutors. One third! And it is not the only more virtuous example. Something is wrong with us, any investigator would say, from Sherlock Holmes to those of CSI, in a system that in the decade has moved about 48.5 billion dollars, of which 47% (22.8 billion) from the usual suspects: or the top 30 clubs, all European, including Juve, Inter, Rome, Naples and Milan, five sisters out of seven.
