Such optimization of the battery should allow to take advantage of a range of over 400 miles (that is around 640 km). It is the leaker a “Green” specialist Tesla has unveiled this information. He would have conducted several searches in the code for the vehicle to arrive at this conclusion.
On Twitter, another hacker “Zeus M3” is able to access the factory mode of Tesla and also has put the hand on this configuration of the Model 3 with a battery of 100 kWh.

For its part, Green and even more confident as he stated in speaking of these Model 3 : ” I know that they exist. I was hoping to have a direct access to one of them soon, but it seems that I got ahead. I know that others exist outside of the test labs Tesla. “If these rumors are confirmed, this would represent a considerable increase compared with the 75 kWh currently offered. Autonomy would thus 322 miles to 400 (or 520 km to 640 km).
It is important to note that this discovery does not necessarily mean that Tesla is about to produce such a vehicle, it could be a simple prototype. Anyway, the track operated is interesting and could give ideas to Tesla for the Model 3 to come. Of course that said improvement said necessarily increase the price. Electrek is gone its prognostic value in announcing that this version of the Model 3 could begin from $ 55,000 instead of the 47 000 dollars today. Moreover, in the case where Tesla’s present and this new one will also expect that the batteries of the Model S and X are increased.
