The project, which has the support of the European Union, arose last year when the Spanish company Natural Machines presented the organizers of this culinary competition the idea of printing this typical Italian sweet with their technology.
“The main objective is the promotion of the tiramisu within the environment of competition and Italian gastronomy, as well as how to give it a greater reach via 3D printing”, he explained. The CEO of the company, Emilio Sepulveda, told Efe.

After several experiments in which recipes from chefs from around the world were tested, this Tuesday the tiramisu was printed in the northern city of Treviso. World Cup winner, devised by the Italian pastry chef Stefano Serafini.

For the founder of the contest, Francesco Redi, the most remarkable thing about the technology is that “it allows to carry out from anywhere In the world a recipe that is very similar to the original”, coming from the Veneto region (north), and at the same time, is “a machine that works with man and is not a substitute”.
Redi told Efe that he was pleased that the collaboration is with a Spanish company, a country in is very loved” and that each time it brings more participants to the competition, which this year already has five among its hundreds of participants.
