Ubisoft announced its guitar service at E3 2021, intending to publish it this past summer.
The delays are being announced this week, as has been the general trend throughout the pandemic. And now, it’s the turn of a new Ubisoft game. We’re referring to Rocksmith +, the revamped version of the 2014 guitar game, reborn as a subscription service to learn to play, with a growing catalog of songs every month. Although it was initially expected to debut in the summer of 2021, the lack of news a week after the end of the season did not bode well. And, indeed, Rocksmith + delayed to 2022, without further specifying its date.
The news comes through an official statement published on social networks by Ubisoft: “To make sure we offer the best service In order to learn to play the guitar, we have decided to delay Rocksmith + until 2022. We will take this opportunity to incorporate the community suggestions during our closed beta. We are convinced that this new launch plan will give us more time to offer a smooth experience to all guitar and bass lovers. “
“Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to sharing more about Rocksmith + shortly. “Announced this summer, Rocksmith + lets you learn to play guitar with real-time feedback of the notes we play and how we play them, to assess our interpretation with respect to the songs of the service. Note detection can be done through a mobile application, without the need to purchase the ‘Rocksmith Real Tone Cable’ or other audio interfaces, for greater accessibility.

As we mentioned in the headline and at the beginning, this is far from the only delay announced so far this week. In just two and a half days we have learned that Total War: Warhammer 3 is delayed to 2022, that Dying Light 2 is also delayed to 2022 and, you guessed it, that Star Wars Hunters is also going to 2022. Another delay has been that of Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, although this only delays its versions of Xbox One and PS4, and we would not be surprised if there was some more delay to be announced before the end of the week.
