In a crowded event, where renowned health professionals from the Dominican Republic participated, Edition Number I of the RD Medical Gazette Magazine was put into circulation, a new dissemination space specialized in Topics of a Scientific Medical Nature put at the service of the country.
This first installment includes articles by prestigious Dominican and foreign doctors, such as Drs. Joaquín Puello Herrera, Eduardo Mejía Jabid, Juan F. Batlle Pichardo, Yori Roque, Eduardo Mejía Santana, Félix Hernández, Alfredo Portela, Lizardi de la Cruz, Alfredo Polanco, Hernando Baquero, Sildia Piñ ;a, Ángel González, Edwin Navia, Walid Elías Hiart and Jorge Andrés Salamanca.

As cover subjects, in this first edition, the prominent Dominican neurologist José Joaquín Puello exposes the on the “New Considerations on the COVID-19 Pandemic” and the prestigious ophthalmologist Juan F. Batlle Pichardo speaks on “Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery: Current status and future perspectives”.
“Plastic Surgery After s of Pregnancy”, is another of the contributions that Gaceta Médica RD brings in this first issue by Dr. Eduardo Mejía Santana and Dr. Eduardo Mejía Jabid focuses his contributions on the topic “Otitis Externa and/or Swimmer’s Otitis”.
