Jeffrey Pierce will play Perry, a rebel living in the quarantine zone.Pierce will play Perry, a rebel of the quarantine zone that we will see in the series. This character was not present in the video games, and will be recurring throughout the series.
On the other hand, Bartlett and O’Neil will play Frank Y Bill, respectively. We do know these two characters from games, and they are both friends who decided to isolate themselves in a city, fighting alone against all kinds of dangers.
Neil Druckmann, the creator of the franchise, commented in the past that the series will relate important events of the first video game, but it will also deviate from the main plot. This will allow new characters, such as Perry, to be introduced to the world of The Last of Us, without many complications in the script.
We know that the series has already started filming, and the pilot episode will be directed by Kantemir Balagov, in co-production with Sony Pictures Television. Naughty dog, the developers of The Last of Us 1 and 2, and PlayStation Productions, also participate in the series as producers.
