The reboot of the Prince of Bel-Air moves, but it could take a very different direction. Indeed, it is a drama series which is announced.

It is the “mode” of the last few years. Resume an old series that had its moment of glory and attempt to restore its former glory through a reboot modernized. They have been many to launch it in recent years with more or less success. For a successful project such as Hawaii 5-0, five Baywatch, able to bury them very quickly the dream of return a franchise. The prince of Bel-Air the old series which had been blown up Will Smith in the eyes of the world is also on the agenda as we have learned (to our great regret) several months ago. The project seems to be clearly moving forward.
The Prince of Bel-Air, a project really different ?
But, according to information from the website Deadline, the goal is not really to do a copy-paste of the original series. A trend very visible in the past, and which often plays a role in the failures of making reboots a thing. The willingness of some of the studios want to take advantage of a success in the past without bringing anything new, don’t really find echo among the general public.
It is perhaps for this reason that the Prince of Bel-Air 2.0 would be a priori a different direction. If the humor was clearly the objective of the first series, the second will turn out to be more dramatic. The story would therefore be one of the show’s original but with a different tone. The origins of this vision, is a short film posted on YouTube and viewed millions of times . Will Smith himself was hailed this adaptation very special.
Currently, no broadcaster would not be linked to the project, but this is not the fault of having a platform interested. The project will be put up for auction and bids have already been made for a complete series, even without the need of going through the box driver. Clearly, the series on the prince of Bel-Air seems destined to end up on our screens.
