Tourists who visit the Anwandter pier in Valdivia lamented the carelessness that can be seen in the main pedestrian promenade of the waterfront in the city. They called on the authorities and residents to take care of the valuable space.
The destruction and vandalism in a sector of the Costanera de Valdivia -Los Ríos region- was criticized by tourists. The municipality committed greater vigilance in this space, which will be used for the sale of value-added products from the area.
Scratched and destroyed glass presents the Anwandter pier, a place destined to contemplate the Valdivia river and its surroundings , where there are binoculars and an area that three years ago was intended for a cafeteria, but which will eventually be used for the sale of food and beverages with added value, typical of the area.

However, the space denotes obvious abandonmentdespite being in one of the busiest sections of the Costanera, next to the ex-heliport, which was criticized by tourists.
The municipal administrator, Cristian Oñate, said that this week the repair of the place begins, works that will have an investment of close to 5 million pesos, hoping that the damage to the premises will be less than that amount.

About the vandalized compound on the Andwanter pier, the The municipality reported that after awarding in a public proposal the space for the so-called “Fluvial Warehouse”, the improvement and qualification works seek to have it in operation during December, a project accompanied by the building house together with Corfo and the Regional Corporation of Productive Development of the Regional Government.
Also on the waterfront, between the River Fair and the Pedro de Valdivia Bridge, work is being carried out to enable the ex-tourism booth and this is used by a group of florists .
Meanwhile, the tourists called on the Valdivian community and its authorities not to continue neglecting the main pedestrian promenade of the city.
