The Fencing Associations of Elías Pina, San Juan, Azua, San Francisco de Macorís, the province of Santo Domingo, San Pedro de Macorís and the National District accused to the Committee Olympic Dominican (COD) of be responsible for the crisis that the Dominican Fencing Federation is going through.
They say that this entity is not fulfilling the role or the legal provisions that govern it by refusing to hold the Ordinary Assembly with the stipulated registration to know the plans and financial report.

“The crisis that our Federation is going through is unfortunate, setting a disastrous precedent for the Dominican Olympic Movement , where the Committee The Executive of the COD has allowed a person to be above the law, the statutes of the Federation and the COD, and the resolutions of that body”.
