The young Students were never informed about the star they would play with until they received the scores to rehearse. They also shared how the experience at the music festival was.

This Thursday afternoon, the Icelandic singer Björk performed at the Primavera Sound music festival accompanied by young people from the Fundación Orquestas Juveniles e Children of Chile (FOJI).

In conversation with BioBioChile, some members of the orchestra that accompanied the interpreter of It’s Oh So Quiet, shared their impressions after the concert, as well as how they found out about the special evening.

“The truth is that they didn’t tell us anything”, commented Vicente, a commercial engineering student who is part of the string group. & # 8220; They sent us a message on Whatsapp and asked us if we had availability for Friday the 11th and Sunday the 13th & # 8221 ;, he recounted.

According to the 20-year-old, they never clarified the details of his preparation, “until they gave us the sheet music that said ‘for Björk””.

After learning of the popularity of the artist, Anaís, a music performance student with a major in cello, the most difficult part of waiting until the day of the event was keeping the secret.

Likewise, Paula Reinoso, also part of the FOJI who studies musical interpretation in viola, the group did not see the artist until the beginning of the concert itself.

“She did not appear until the end, at the concert. Then we sat down with our instruments and she was hiding. At that she appeared and, with the shouts of people and seeing her and her costume, in addition to understanding that I have to play, it was a shock&# 8221;, narrated.

Christopher Mariani, student of musical interpretation in viola, also assured that they were shocked by the applause of the public, assuring that “it was spectacular, we did not think they were going to applaud us so much, but when we entered the people she went crazy”.

“I never realized how loud people could yell at a concert. I have yelled at concerts but being on the other side is… wow”, asserted Paula, who laughs that “could die and people would say that this person was very happy”.

Christopher also highlights the artist’s attitude on stage, who, according to her story, gave space to the strings to star in a moment of the show, even making an adaptation so that moment could be performed.
