At least two priests were kidnapped early this Wednesday by unidentified armed persons as part of an assault on a church in the Nigerian state of Katsina (north ), as confirmed by the Diocese of Sokoto.

The director of communication for the diocese, Christopher Omotosho, has indicated that the attack was carried out in the rectory of The San Patricio church has been added that two children have also been kidnapped, without for now having claimed responsibility for the event.
