For those who reside or who have visited Mexico City, they know that, at a certain time, a peculiar sound fills the streets of the capital. It is about the carts of the sweet potato growers: ppeople who sell this tuberor steamed and who make a roaring noise accompany them as they pass.
Opinions regarding the particular hiss have been divided for generations. Some agree that it’s annoying and even scary; while others just got used to it. That is why, on this occasion, a user of TikTokshe was more intrepid and decided to use the sound of these carts to make a song.
It is about Rayben (rayben_music), a woman who used his social networks to share how he made music with said noise. In the audiovisual that has more than 3.7 million views, he is seen approaching a sweet potato farmer to ask for his help.
“Can I record the sound of the sweet potatoes to make a song?”, he is heard saying.
Given this, the worker agrees, but the moment he activates the noise, Rayben jumps in fright and the man only laughs discreetly.

Although the song was a success for several Internet users, others were not they took the same way, since they pointed out to Rayben that the sound of the sweet potatoes was not perceptible in the final version.

“Do you remember the song I made with the sound of sweet potatoes? Well, some of the people couldn’t distinguish the sound of the sweet potatoes in the song, but don’t worry, because after this video they will be able to distinguish the sound and otherwise I did my best,” he said.
