On September 19, 2017, life suddenly changed for the entire nation. A 7.1 magnitude earthquake shook central Mexico and collapsed several communities in Mexico City and Morelos, mainly , prompting society to come together to save those trapped between destroyed buildings, remove rubble and collect food for the affected and brigade members of the tragedy.
Celebrities and athletes also took to the streets to help in collection centers and even provided monetary support for the reconstruction of the areas most devastated by the earthquake.
Salma Hayek, Diego Luna, Sebastián Rulli, Belinda, Maite Perroni and even Paris Hilton , are some of the faces of the show business who dedicated their time, money and effort to help those who did not come out very well on September 19, ago three years.
Belinda joined the rescue brigades in Jojutla, Morelos, one of the areas most affected by the earthquake. In this area of the country he found several destroyed houses and promised to rebuild them, through his Gaia Blue Planet foundation.

Actor Diego Luna installed a collection center in the Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City, where for several days he collected food not only for the brigade members, but also for those affected by the earthquake.
“Here we receive all your help and distribute it effectively,” he wrote from his social networks, where he made requests for this cause. “There is plenty of room for them to bring help. Food-medicines-healing materials-raincoats-clothes we accept everything! ”, He wrote in another publication.
Actor Bruno Bichir also collaborated in the collection center installed in the Shakespeare Forum, where they also wrote messages of support for the victims.
Salma Hayek made a monetary donation to help children affected during the disaster. “The people of my country have suffered three natural disasters in a row. Many children and families are hurt and in great need. I am contributing USD 100,000 now to UNICEF, which has teams on the ground that respond. Please join me and contribute what you can and thank you, “he wrote on his Instagram account.
Sebastián Rulli, Maite Perroni, Adrián Uribe, Maribel Guardia, Grettell Valdéz and René Strickler, were at the collection center located in the University Olympic Stadium, where they helped pack and carry boxes to take them to the most marginalized areas.

Socialite Paris Hilton was no stranger to misfortune. The model went to the mayor of Xochimilco, in Mexico City, where she helped build seven houses affected during the earthquake.
“When the earthquake happened I came here and it broke my heart to see what happened and I wanted to make a difference ,” Hilton told the media.
