A dead carabinero leaves a truck overturning in Coquimbo: he was not on duty

This Wednesday afternoon, the Coquimbo Hospital confirmed the death of one of the occupants of the truck that overturned this morning . It is a dead carabinero.

According to information from Carabineros, it corresponds to a uniformed officer from the 62nd Paine Police Station, Metropolitan region, who at the time of the incident was not on duty.

It should be noted that two men were traveling in the accident vehicle, so the other injured occupant still remains at vital risk.

Let’s remember that, this morning, there was a serious accident on Route 5. Specifically at kilometer 453 El Panul, where a truck overturned on the side of the road.

According to records provided by Major Marcelo Sandoval of the 2nd Coquimbo Police Station, for reasons being investigated “the driver of the vehicle lost control, initiating a rollover process”.

Finally, both occupants were ejected from the mobile, so both were transferred to Coquimbo Hospital. However, the uniformed man ended up dying as a result of the seriousness of his injuries.
