Afghanistan, other flights from Kabul arriving in Italy today

An Air Force C130 J with a total of 103 passengers on board has just taken off from Kabul. The evacuated people will be transported to Kuwait and transferred there on a KC767 with which they will reach Italy in the next few hours. In addition, this morning in Fiumicino is about to land a charter flight made available in Kuwait by the non-profit organization ‘Nove’ on which the 104 Afghans evacuated yesterday by another C130 J departed from Kabul were boarded.

Since last June, when 228 Afghans were brought in with Operation Aquila 1, about 900 former collaborators and their families have been evacuated from Afghanistan and about 800 have been transferred to Italy.
