The Taliban announced that they had taken “complete” control of the Panshir valley, the only one that had not yet fallen at their rapid advance due to the resistance of the men led by Ahmad Massoud. “With this victory, our country is now completely out of the brink of war,” said the main spokesman for the Taliban. Zabihullah Mujahid, in a statement.
