According to the institution, this brand bears the symbol of the National Association of Industrialists Derived from Agave (ANIDA), which is misleading for those who consume it, since it is actually a cane liquor.
Due to the flavor and the fact that it dries the throat, those who usually drink it in Mexico resort to mixing it with other drinks to attenuate or disguise the drink and make it more digestible.
The liquor has a faint color caramel and comes in a plastic bottle with a capacity of 250 ml. Its fermented smell is a characteristic that it shares with other low-cost drinks. This liquor is very popular in Mexico, especially all in young and low-income people, because its price is around USD 1.30.
El Tonayán < /b>was created in Jalisco, a state in western Mexico famous for its tequilas. It is distributed by Grupo Corona, founded by Armando Corona Robles, which manages a total of 20 liquor brands.
In the National Survey of Addictions of 2011, the last one where it was asked what was the favorite alcoholic drink, young people between 12 and 17 years old placed it in second place, only behind beer.< /b>
