Amazon refund scam: beware of fake emails that ask you to enter your credit card details to get compensation on a purchase that has never been made
Codacons raises the alarm on a new pimp aimed at Amazon customers. The association in defense of consumers warns to pay attention to emails that appear to be the official ones of the e-commerce site and written in correct Italian so as not to alert users. The text claims that Amazon has forgotten to make a product for a product that has never been shipped and there is a link to a site that resembles that of the Seattle platform in appearance but is actually a malicious portal. The scammers ask you to enter your credit card details to receive the refund with the aim of emptying “all the available ceiling”:
