Scientists of the Scripps Research in their recent research they have shown that the brain cholesterol regulates plaques in Alzheimer’s disease. The team used advanced imaging methods to reveal how the protein was produced amyloid-beta (Aβ) associated withAlzheimer’s in the brain is strictly regulated by cholesterol.

The study was published in the scientific journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).
