The Civil Defense of Haiti raised this Sunday (15) to 1,297 the number of confirmed deaths as a result of the earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale that occurred on Saturday (14) in the country.
According to the agency, most of the deaths happened in the south of Haitian territory, where the epicenter of the quake was registered. In all, there were 1,054 victims in the region. Next, the most affected department was Nippes, with 122, followed by Grand Anse, with 119.
