Brazil registered 597 new deaths by covid-19 this Sunday, 11. The moving average of deaths, whose objective is to eliminate distortions between weekdays and weekends, had a drop of 20% compared to two weeks ago and is now at 1,296. It is the lowest level since March 2 this year, when the number was 1,274, according to data compiled by the consortium of press vehicles.
In all, the country accounts for 533,546 deaths from the disease and is second only to the United States. The number of new cases registered this Sunday was 20,396. The moving average of new infections dropped by 33% compared to two weeks ago and dropped to 45,701. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 19,086,184 people have been infected with the new coronavirus in Brazil.
