Miguel Ángel Berríos, president of the Paicaví Remodeling Board, told BioBioChile that “our security cameras showed how a person left behind a dog. This caused a lot of impact in our community” ;.

Natalie Gaete was with her boyfriend when they found the poodle, so they decided to help her.
“My boyfriend saw her and approached us, he showed us the waffle, so very tender. We thought that someone was walking her & # 8221 ;, she recounted.

The sanctions that are risked for animal abuse
According to what is established in the Penal Code (article 291 bis), three figures of animal abuse are distinguished:
– If the mistreatment causes serious impairment to the physical integrity or generates the death of the animal, it will be punished with a prison sentence of 541 days to 3 years, a fine of 20 to 30 UTM and the absolute perpetual incapacity for the possession of any type of animal.
– If the abuse causes physical damage that does not seriously impair its physical integrity or cause the death of the animal, imprisonment from 61 days to 3 years, a fine of 10 to 30 UTM and absolute perpetual inability to own any type of animal.
– Any other mistreatment that does not cause physical damage to the animal, imprisonment from 61 days to 3 years and/or a fine from 2 to 30 UTM.
