The previous trailer hid the logos unsubtle, in what Activision called a “creative decision.”
The bad reputation it enjoys Activision Blizzard At this time, derived from the serious cases of abuse and discrimination for which the state of California denounces them, led those responsible for Call of Duty: Vanguard to dissociate themselves from the company a few weeks ago. As you may recall, the first trailer for the new Call of Duty hid the Activision logo in an unsubtle and hasty way, in what the company later justified as a creative decision by Sledgehammer Games. And it is seen that the creativity lasted two days, since now they show the logos again.
As you may have seen in the recent CoD Vanguard multiplayer trailer – and if not, in VGC they have noticed of it for the rest – the North American study has decided to show again the activision logo in the game materials. A change from one video to another, which stands out precisely because of how sudden it was. Recall that, while Activision justified its absence in the first trailer as “a creative decision,” the overall impression was that of a game that tried distinguish yourself from your company before his current bad image.
And in the same way, the return of the Activision logo could be born from the simple fact that the fans they will be caught red-handed when they hid them, as this increased criticism of the game and the company. For now, neither Sledgehammer nor Activision Blizzard have commented on this 180 degree turn in your promotional materials. With a letter against the board signed by more than 2,000 employees, as well as protests and harsh criticism from fans, it appears that Activision Blizzard is trying to shrink the water without plugging the holes in its ship.
