Criminalist Alberto Toron, who accompanies Carlos Wizard in his testimony to Covid’s CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) in the Senate this Wednesday (June 30, 2021), announced that the businessman will remain silent in the face of all questions asked by congressmen.
Wizard is supported by a habeas corpus granted by the STF (Supreme Federal Court) which gives him the right, in the condition of being investigated, not to give answers that could eventually produce evidence against him.
“It is a fact that the deponent has the right to remain silent, but he can and should listen to the questions. And so it will be done”, said senator Alessandro Vieira (Cidadania-SE).
