Castlevaniais certainly one of the most popular historical videogame series in the community, so much so as to redefine a genre in conjunction with Metroid, hence the name of the genus metroidvania, and this time the last chapters of the respective sagas also share a similar fate given that Konami will bring to light a chapter abandoned a few years ago.
Not only Metroid Dread, but even this game has a rather troubled path and was eventually brought back from the abyss of canceled projects. It was originally announced in 2018, but after it came out exclusively in Canada the following year, Konami reversed, eliminating exits in other states.
