The news was announced by Cristián Little, Executive Director of Conaf, who, while visiting the area, gave his public support to the workers affected by an arson attack, which destroyed several buildings.
The executive said that an official will be designated to be in charge of coordinating security actions in conjunction with the Presidential Delegation in La Araucanía.

For her part, the Executive Vice President of the Chilean Federation of Tourism Companies, Helen Kouyoumdjian, condemned the attack on the Nahuelbuta National Park, stating that this demonstrates the lack of worker safety.
The attack was carried out by a group of about eight hooded persons, who arrived at the scene with firearms through the Gates sector, there they fired intimidating shots and forced two park rangers who were in a local house to leave.
