In Italy today, Wednesday 1 September 2021, they were registered 6.503 new cases of Covid-19 and 69 deaths of people infected with the virus. Yesterday, 5,498 new infections and 75 deaths were reported. The data on new infections are based on 303,717 swabs carried out (yesterday there were 307,643): the rate of positivity is at2.1 percent, up from 1.8 percent yesterday. Both ordinary hospitalizations and intensive care are decreasing.
As usual, the data are disseminated by the Ministry of Health and the Istituto Superiore della Sanità on the basis of the figures provided by the Regions. The people currently positive for Covid in Italy are 136,578. People admitted to intensive care with the virus they are 540 (-4). THE hospitalizations On the other hand, there are a total of 4,231 ordinary people in hospital (-21).
