Terry Larrier with 27 points was the best scorer by the Santiago Metros in their victory over the Marineros.
The Santiago Metros started with a 109-96 victory against the Puerto Plata Marineros at the start of the season 2022 of the National Basketball League.
The five-time champions began the game with a 7-0 rally, an advantage they never lost. With a penetration by Adris de León with 42 seconds remaining in the second quarter, they got a lead of 26 (60-34), the biggest of the match, and ended up dominating the half 60-37.

Metros had five players in double figures, led by Terry Larrier with 27 points, Brandon Moss 18 points – 11 rebounds and Brandone Francis 14 points. The team’s bench contributed 38 points in the game.
For the Mariners, the best offensive player was Kerwin Roach with 21 points, Luis Jacobo 16 and Luis Bryant Feliz contributed 38 points. 14.
The team managed to 42 rebounds, distributed 26 assists and threw for 52.6% from the field.
