For the ceremony, 2020 Emmy Awards, it is Netflix that is needed with 160 appointments, far ahead of the competition (HBO, Disney+, Hulu…).

The ceremony of the Emmy Awards will be held this year on Sunday 20 September, and will be broadcast by ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Remember that this is a ceremony emblematic to reward the best shows of american television. For the past few years, the programs from platforms of streaming raflent la mise, and this year, it is Netflix that made literally explode the counter of appointments.
Netflix is king of the nominations for the Emmy Awards
In fact, the streaming platform Netflix alone accounts for a total of 160 nominations (all categories) for the ceremony of the Emmy Awards 2020. Productions such as The Crown, Hollywood, or even Stranger Things are obviously of the party, not to mention Ozark, The Kominsky Method, Unorthodox, Unbelievable, Cheer, Live is Blind, Nailed It!…
Recall that in 2013, Netflix had a total of…13. In 2020, the platform Netflix ahead of HBO, which account this year 107 appointments. Du côté de chez Disney+, one obtains a total of 19 nominations, including 15 for The Mandalorian, nominated in the category Best Drama Series, alongside The Handmaid”s Tale, Stranger Things, Bettel Call Saul or The Crown.
On the side of Apple and its streaming service Apple TV+, it has a total of 18 nominations, thanks in particular to The Morning Show, a-series scope, notably by Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell, both nominated in the category Best Actress in a Drama Series and Best Actor in a Drama Series. Note that Amazon Prime Video account 30 nominations, compared to 26 for the platform Hulu.
Note, however, that it is a series HBO, which dominates the debate in regard to the appointments for one and the same content, with no fewer than 26 nominations for Watchmen. Recall that in this game, the record is held by another series HBO, namely, Games of Thrones, and his 32 appointments last year.
