This twin lane avenue in either direction has had one of its lanes converted over to side-by-side parking on the eastbound lanes: ie, heading towards the bridge over Guadalfeo River. The westbound lanes remain in their original configuration, as there is already in-line parking along it.
This came into effect yesterday meaning that it will easier to find parking not far from the beach – you just cut through the beach-front blocks of flats along the streets that connect the beach road to the Andalusia Avenue.
There is a further advantage because the Andalusia Avenue does not have any Blue Zones along it, unlike the beach-road parking!
