Facebook began to post to some users in the United States a box in which to indicate, anonymously, if their contact shows signs of extremism‘. A notice that would come after a member has, knowingly or not, seen a post of an extremist nature pass on his wall, in all its forms. As explained to CNN by Andy Stone, a spokesperson for Facebook, the news is part of the ‘Redirect Initiative‘, with which the company promotes organizations against extremism and in support of people blocked in activities of the gender.
