The Minister of Energy and Mines, Antonio Almonte , reported yesterday that from this Friday four private plants will come into operation to supply 410 megawatts to the energy sector, until the plants that are out of service for maintenance >and “unforeseen failures”

These private plants are Quisqueya 1 owned by Barrick Gold, Falcondo, Estrella del Mar and Sultana del Este.

“For this Monday the demand for electrical energy in the Republic will be reduced.
