The Nintendo Switch Online is a service that currently offers 80 NES and 50 SNES titles. Although the bookstore is already quite large, fans wish to have more of the history of the Japanese company in one place, and it seems that their wish may come true. A new report supports the rumors of the arrival of Game Boy games to this console.
According to sources close to Eurogamer, Nintendo would be planning the inclusion of Game Boy titles to the Switch Online. This rumor took on new force at the beginning of the week, when the youtuber known as Nate the hate assured that the expansion of this service was under way. This information was later corroborated by Nintendo Life, and now the European media joins the conversation.
A detail that supports these reports is that in 2019, prior to the arrival of the SNES games, data miners found an emulator for this 16-bit console, as well as other classic platforms. Although at the moment there is no official information from Nintendo, considering the rumors of a new Direct for September, these doubts are likely to be clarified within the next few days.
