Police conduct a special operation near a synagogue in the German city of Hagen in western Germany due to threats received at a religious institution on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. About it informs German edition Westfalenpost.
About a hundred armed law enforcement officers patrol the area around the synagogue. The street on which the building is located is blocked. Presumably, the security forces received information about the impending attack.
The presence of a “potential threat” to the synagogue was reported by the Dortmund police in Twitter… Other details have not yet been disclosed for security reasons. The police are reported to be in close contact with the city’s Jewish community.
In April, an unknown assailant carried out a series of attacks on synagogues in New York. Four synagogues in the Riverdale area were attacked, two of them twice. The windows in the doors of the building were shattered with stones. Based on the CCTV cameras, the same person is behind the crimes.
