The Bío Bío Regional Presidential Delegation confirmed that it will present complaints for arson attacks that affected heavy machinery in the sector costanera in Concepción, however, the crime for which the legal action will be used has not yet been defined.
Two arson attacks, with three machines burned, were the events that occurred less than a week apart in the waterfront sector in Concepción, in the middle of the urban sector of the city and that are being investigated by the Public Ministry and the PDI.
Due to these events, the presidential delegate of Bío Bío, Daniela Dresdner, confirmed that they will present the corresponding complaints in the coming days and added that this will be in conjunction with the Penquista municipality.
“The complaints have not yet been filed, but in any case the decision to file them is a decision that has already been made,” the authority specified.

To this he added that “ These are complaints that are going to be presented jointly with the Municipality of Concepción, in order to have the different visions be part of this complaint”.
Arson attacks in Concepción
The mayor of Concepción, Álvaro Ortiz, indicated that they had asked the delegation to file these legal actions against these serious events, however, they indicated that the crime that will be asked to investigate in these legal actions is still under study.
“That is what our lawyers are going to review, and in which we will soon meet again with the delegate and with our legal teams, to be able to file this complaint requested by the Municipality of Concepción”, he indicated the communal chief.
