“You can’t change a name like that after what Dave did for him. So he’ll be Nelson forever.”
Today we want to tell you the story of the dog Nelson, which has recently spread on the web. It all started when on July 20, 2021, a volunteer from an Ohio shelter answered a call on a mistreated dog.
Dave Nelson, this is his name, went to the indicated point and found a poor four-legged friend tied to a chain and dragged along the street by a cruel man.
Immediately the volunteer tried to make the owner think, overwhelmed by anger. But his reaction wasn’t what he expected and Dave’s presence wasn’t to his liking. Man has took a knife and rushed at that stranger. Fortunately, the witnesses suffered sounded the alarm to law enforcement and health workers.

The new life of the dog Nelson
After a long time inside the shelters, where the dog learned to regain trust in humans, he found one loving family. A man named George Zordich and her daughters were looking for a four-legged friend and when the volunteers introduced them to Nelson, it was love at first sight.
We fell in love with him and went home. We thought about it for a week but then we went back to the shelter and took it. He gets along well with children and they have become best friends. They spend all day out having fun together.
After learning of his story, not even Nelson’s new adopters have decided to change his name.
You can’t change a name like that after what Dave did for him. So it will be Nelson forever.
