Once his COVID-19 infection was confirmed , José Eduardo Derbez spoke first with his parents, Eugenio Derbez and Victoria Ruffo, and then with Omar Fayad, his stepfather.
And it is that as Fayad, governor of the state of Hidalgo, tested positive for COVID last March, José Eduardo thought that the politician could advise him well.
In fact, unlike the reactions of his parents, who were quite concerned, Fayad took it very calmly.
“As he has treated so many cases in Hidalgo, he took it easier, (he told me) ‘we are going to do this, the other, call the doctor .’ We started to solve that, it was a matter of hours, “he explained to the First Hand program.

In the same talk, he commented that he was not aware of the treatment that was being developed in Hidalgo, in conjunction with Japan for COVID-19.
And it is that Gustavo Adolfo Infante asked him if he had tried this treatment.
What he did comment was what he had already said in his YouTube video where he uncovered his contagion.
“Right now I am very well, the negative test has already come out, but the first days it was somewhat difficult, especially because I had been very careful. I think I was infected at the airport, I was coming from Los Angeles, a day before I had been tested and it was negative. I traveled to Mexico feeling very good, ”he recalled.

José Eduardo reported that it all started with a headache that followed with high temperature, body pain, sweating, and loss of smell.
“When they gave me the result, I was very sick, very nervous. I cried like crazy , I got very sad because you don’t know what comes next. You do not know if in two more days you will be hospitalized, if the worst is over or not because each body is different. I felt a very strong anguish of not knowing what to do ”.
Although he is already quite recovered, there is still a symptom that has not disappeared and that is the loss of smell.
José Eduardo surprised the weekend by revealing that he was infected with COVID-19 and showed the results of his test, carried out on September 15.

“I get the positive results … and I got very bad, I was very scared … I cried a lot, I was distressed. I didn’t know how to tell my family, I didn’t know how to tell them, especially since I had taken care of myself so much for so long … Obviously it had to be at the airport, I don’t know when, but it was at the airport, “he said to his followers. “Thank God it wasn’t too bad for me. The first four days were the hardest. “
The contagion of Fayad and the joke of Derbez
Omar Fayad was one of the first politicians in Mexico to be infected, as it was at the end of March when he himself reported his positive for coronavirus.
After taking the recommended security measures, Fayad returned to his activities, but one detail put him back on the scene and that is that Eugenio Derbez, José Eduardo’s father, posted on Instagram a meme with his character as the “little devil” with a worried face and the phrase “I hugged Omar Fayad.”

Far from being upset, the governor of Hidalgo took Derbez’s joke quite humorously.

And, unlike what happens with Victoria Ruffo, Derbez has a quite cordial relationship with Fayad.
