The rains registered in the Toluca Valley, caused by the passage of Hurricane Grace in Mexico, have caused minor damage. Among the effects, light flooding, minor traffic accidents and little influx into the streets stand out.
As predicted by the meteorological service, the hurricane was present in the Mexican entity from the early hours of Saturday and lasted until this Sunday with some periods of low and zero precipitation.
This caused moisture in the asphalt of streets and main avenues in this region where accidents were recorded, but not seriously; Among them, Paseo Tollocan, Solidaridad las Torres, Alfredo del Mazo, as well as on the Mexico – Toluca, Toluca – Atlacomulco, Toluca – Tenango, Toluca – Toluca Zitácuaro and Toluca – Temascaltepec roads.
The municipalities that witnessed these rains throughout both days were: Lerma, Ocoyoacac, San Mateo Atenco, Otzolotepec, Xonacatlán, Toluca, Metepec, Calimaya, Zinacantepec, Almoloya de Juárez, among others.
