The actor who passed away in August drawn as his character from T’Challa

In just a few days it will be a month since Chadwick Boseman’s death . But the actor has already been immortalized on the walls of Disneyland, in Anaheim, California.

Visual artist Nikkolas Smith made a painting of the actor in his character as T’Challa , while doing the “Wakanda Forever” salute. Beside him was a colored boy in a hospital gown (honoring the children Boseman used to visit), wearing a Marvel superhero mask and also doing the famous salute.

Smith unveiled his art on August 29 , the day after the actor’s death. The artist put his piece up for sale and in honor of Boseman’s altruistic work, donated part of it to two children’s hospitals. In the image he shared on his Instagram account, the artist explained that those who knew him will always see him as a hero and a king.

This Thursday Smith could see the illustration he made of the actor on the walls of Disneyland, which he considered very special.

This is special . My tribute to King Chad is now on a wall on display at Downtown Disney. It’s a full circle moment for me – my last two projects as a Disney Imagineer last summer were working on the Children’s Hospital and Avengers Campus project, ”wrote the artist.

The visual artist also explained that he was very honored to have honored Boseman and appreciated the support that Disney gave him.

For millions of children, T’Challa was a legend larger than life , and there was no one more worthy to fill those shoes than Chadwick Boseman . I am so grateful to be able to honor Chadwick’s life and purpose in this way. I am grateful to the Disney family for supporting me so much on my journey as an artist, ”he said.

On August 28 it was confirmed that the protagonist of “Black Panther” had died at 43 years old . His family confirmed the sad news through the social networks of the superhero’s interpreter within the Marvel universe.

It is with immeasurable pain that we confirm the death of Chadwick Boseman, ” the statement said.

According to it, Boseman has been diagnosed with stage III colon cancer since 2016. During the last four years, the disease progressed to the last stage, however, the actor never made public his health.

The actor was so dedicated to his work that he decided to continue working and giving performances of iconic characters. ” A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all and brought you many of the movies that you have come to love so much, ” revealed his family.

“From ‘Marshall’ to ‘Da 5 Bloods’, August Wilson’s ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ and several others, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy,” he revealed.

But, according to the statement, it was “the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in ‘Black Panther.’

Boseman’s family appreciated the love and prayers, but asked that privacy be respected during those tough times. According to the letter, the actor died at home, with his wife and surrounded by his family.

People magazine reported that the death certificate reported that Boseman was buried on Sept. 3 in the Well-Being Baptist Church cemetery in Belton, South Carolina .
