The Governor of the state of new York Andrew Cuomo issued an Executive order on Saturday allowing remotely couples to apply for marriage.
Before the start of the pandemic coronavirus COVID-19 pairs had personally to apply for a permit to marry. But over the past month, many marriage bureaus have closed, because there is a risk of the spread of coronavirus. So people who want to marry, are unable personally to submit the application for a permit to marry.
Administrative order adopted by the Governor, also allows employees to carry out the marriage ceremony through video conference.

“You can do it with the help of Zoom”,- jokingly said the Governor.
According to CBS New York, the new administrative order of the Governor, in fact, suspends the law that requires people to personally present when applying for a permit to marry. Before Cuomo made the statement most of the marriage bureaus were closed or could not give permission to marry in the state. It is noted that the administrative order of the Governor was greeted with protests. “I received a lot of negative comments”,- said the Governor.

Wedding industry suffered greatly from the moment that started a pandemic coronavirus and people banned public meetings, particularly in new York and new Jersey.
