The infrastructure, 90 meters long and built from recycled plastic, will allow people with disabilities to travel along the coastline with their families.
A more inclusive summer it will be possible to live on La Boca beach in Concón, Valparaíso region, thanks to the recent inauguration of a 90-meter-long retractable walkway.
The structure will allow people with disabilities can take a walk along the edge of the beach. In addition, it promotes sustainability, being built based on recycled plastic .

The initiative was developed jointly by Wheel The World (WTW) , the sponsorship of the brand VIVO de Carozzi and the support of the Municipality of Concón, Sernatur and the Soul Surf school of Concón.

In addition to the catwalk, an amphibian chair was donated so that people can walk the catwalk; two adapted surfboards, so that all people can practice this sport; and the bathroom at the Soul Surf school in Concón was remodeled, adapted for people with wheelchairs.
Stefano Stocchero, Corporate Marketing Assistant Manager at Carozzi, stated that “We are very happy to promote this initiative, bringing well-being closer to people with disabilities and their families, so that they can enjoy something as simple as a walk on the beach, especially in this hot season.”
“As a brand, we have proposed to make more spaces like this available, so that enjoying nature is an inclusive and environmentally sustainable activity. It seems to us that well-being lies in enjoying these types of moments. For this, the collaboration with WTW seemed great to us and we hope to continue working together on more projects, ”he added.

For her part, Isabel Aguirre, senior impact manager of Wheel the World, a social startup that promotes inclusive tourism, assured that “we are very happy to see VIVO’s commitment to join our purpose of making the world more accessible. Initiatives such as these are the ones that allow us to bring nature and sport closer to all people who want to explore the world without limits”.
Along with the inauguration, an adapted surfing activity was carried out with five participants with disabilities, who had the opportunity to test the adapted surfboards and were able to walk the catwalk.
