“With the people of Iran until’ my last breath”
Hengameh Ghaziani was arrested for inciting and supported the “riots” and communicated with opposition media, said the official Irna news agency. The actress had indicated previously having been summoned by justice then published on her Instagram account a video in which she removes the obligatory headscarf.
“From now on, whatever happens to me, know that as always I stand with the people of Iran untill’ my last breath,” she added in her post on Saturday.
The video, which appears to have been filmed in a shopping street, shows Hengameh Ghaziani bareheaded facing the camera without speaking, then turning around and making a ponytail like other women do before going to demonstrate
Arrested with seven other personalities
In recent weeks, the 52-year-old actress has strongly criticized the repression of the protest movement, accusing the authorities of having killed; children and young people during demonstrations.
