Police personnel arrested a man for the crime of wood theft in Angol, however, he had all the necessary documentation. He will now be investigated, meanwhile, he was left with low precautionary measures.
Free and with low-intensity precautionary measures, the driver of a truck detained by Carabineros was released, after being denounced for theft of wood from a forestry property in the Angol commune, in the La Araucanía region.
The defendant exhibited documentation that would authorize him to exploit wood based on a Forestal Minininco contract with a Mapuche community, so now it must be verified if what he was transporting corresponds to the aforementioned permit.

According to information compiled by Radio Bío Bío from Temuco, the 49-year-old man was arrested for police officers of the 3rd COP “Malleco” Police Station, for the crime of theft of wood from the El Carmen farm in Angol.
The eldest, Hugo Garcés, explained that in the operation the truck and its load of 60 cubic meters of wood were seized, after being intercepted when it arrived at Collipulli.
The hearing to Control the legality of the Detention it was carried out in the Collipulli Guarantee Court, after which the prosecutor, Carlos Bustos, formalized an investigation for theft of wood, however, he requested less intense precautionary measures, corresponding to national roots and prohibition to approach the property “ El Carmen”, since the defendant had documentation proving that he had authorization to exploit wood in that sector.
The investigation must determine if the wood he was transporting corresponds to what he was authorized to remove, since the defendant has a contract that the Mininco forestry firm signed with a community that allows them to exploit some hectares, in addition to the contract that your company signed with the community for the purchase of the wood, the tax documentation for that purchase, the dispatch guides and the transit guides that authorize the transfer of the cargo to Temuco.
