The President of the United States,Joe Biden and his wife Jill had to be evacuated this Saturday by the Secret Service from their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, after the entry of a private plane into a restricted space was detected, apparently by accident.
A private plane has “mistakenly” flown over the beach house where the president is spending the weekend, a White House official said Saturday, pointing out that “It was not an attack”.

“A private plane has entered the restricted airspace, everything indicates that by mistake. Precautionary measures have been adopted”, explained a White House spokesman quoted by the Politico portal. “There has been no threat to the president or his family,” he added.
Local resident Susan Lillard told him told CBS News that he saw a small white plane flying over the area where the president’s house is located.
A spokesman Secret Service, Anthony Guglielmi explained that the incident occurred before 1:00 p.m. local time and that the plane was immediately escorted out of the restricted area.

As is standard practice for presidential trips outside of Washington, the Federal Administration Aviation had posted flight restrictions earlier this week ahead of Biden’s visit to the coastal city. Restrictions include a 10-mile radius no-fly zone contained within a 30-mile restricted zone.

The president and his wife later returned to their residence in the seaside resort of Rehoboth, located just under 200 km east of Washington. “They’re safe,” said one official, who declined to be quoted.
The Bidens were spending the weekend in Rehoboth to celebrate Jill’s birthday, which was Friday, reported CNN.
Biden did not have any events scheduled for Saturday, so the group of reporters traveling with the president was not part of the caravan.
