A man was found guilty of manslaughter by negligence or lack of supervision by the correctional court of Orleans (Loiret), last Thursday. It has, however, been dispensed sentence, as requested by the prosecutor. The autopsy concluded that the baby was was “dead by positional asphyxiation” Examinations had shown that the defendant had an alcohol level of 1.02 g per liter of blood the following day at noon. He has not had a drop of alcohol since that day, he explained. The mother was not a civil party, assuring that her companion is a “very good father”.
